    So much easier to put on my line than most other indicators. Plus it doesn't put any kinks or bends in the line.

    Works as it’s supposed to as a strike indicator. It is nice to be able to use however much or little you want to as well as you can mold the shape into more of a football type shape that is smooth and more gentle on the water. The customer service at Avid Max is excellent!

    Not good for hot weather

    After hearing about these Loon biostrike putty strike indicators for a while, I decided to buy 2 colors and give them a try. I was fishing the upper Colorado river and Williams Creek. The temperature was in the upper 70s and the water temperature was in the 50s. These putty indicators were very messy to use and couldn't stay on the leaders. After struggling with them at both rivers, I decided to use other indicators and was much happier with better results. I may give these a try when the weather gets cooler.

    When small flies are needed

    Many fly fishermen will use too large an indicator for a very small fly. On the Boulder Mountain we fish for really finicky Tiger Trout. Many of the indicators are just too big to move when a tiger samples a size 20 scud, or Copper John. The solution is a pinch of strike just large enough to float the fly and see even the slightest take. using this stuff will increase your small fly sensitivity and increase your catch.
