A gel floatant that adds a little shimmer to flies. It is silicone based and won't leave any slick on the surface, while adding an iridescent reflection that mimics clear wings.

Prior to first cast, apply desired amount of Royal Gel to fly. Use fingers to work Royal Gel into hair and hackle. If fly becomes water logged, use powder desiccant to dry, then reapply. Reapply when needed.

  • Dry fly gel floatant
  • Adds sparkle to mimic clear winged insects
  • Temperature stable
  • Silicon based
  • Will not leave oil slick on water

I have used most of the floatants on the market today. I recently bought the Loon Royal Gel just because that was one that I never tried. After a full day of August heat the Royal Gel didnt turn into a liquid which is a plus. My fly stayed on top of the water longer than with other gels. The dreaded fish slime that coats your fly didnt affect the floatability much. Im hooked.
