    Hareline Hallow Tubing

This is my first time tying with tubing and I am amazed! I needed to fill my box with some midge patterns and the tubing immediately helped give them a finished fly shop worthy look. Highly recommend them to anyone!

    Perfect material

After searching for a while for quality Chamois for buckskin nymphs, I heard that people used this tubing since the natural chamois was hard to find. I gave this a shot and will never go back even if I find the chamois. It’s very durable and lifelike. It is also WAY easier to tie with. Definitely picking up more of this in different colors because it’s a great body material for basically any fly. Got it fast too!

    Great product, great service!

I lose a lot of flies. I snag them on the bottom, I snag them, on structure, I snag them in the trees and on bushes, and occasionally, I lose flies to really big fish. Since I usually fish a dropper rig, most of those break-offs are a double whammy. My fly boxes start out very full in April and by early September, there isn’t much left. Sometimes, I actually have to buy flies, at river prices and that makes me grumpy.

So, I decided to head for the beautiful jungle island of Bali, Indonesia and spend my winter tying flies and watching the sunsets. Imagine my dismay when I unpacked my tying supplies to discover that I didn’t pack the bag containing my micro tubing, and I’m 10,000 miles from the nearest fly fishing store.

Firing up the computer, I placed an order with AvidMax for the micro tubing colors that I needed the most, and prepared for a long wait.

I got my order a couple of days ago. I don’t know how they did it. My order showed up in 15 days, when the average time for a shipment from the U.S. is 25 – 30 days! The shipping crew at AvidMax must have some seriously powerful MOJO. That is some amazing service.

As for the micro tubing, it looks good and the colors are great, and I’m sure that it will catch a lot of big fish, but I haven’t been able to use it yet. The wind gods have been playing around, and since I tie outdoors, it has just been too windy to work. For those of you who haven’t tried tying flies in the wind, It’s almost as difficult a tying flies in the presences of kittens.

Thanks for the unbelievable service, AvidMax!
