    Life Changing

Posted by Elliott Farrell on May 12th 2017

My first impression of ENO hammocks was that you could only own one if you also hiked, ate granola, and wore Chacos. However, my wife kept hinting at how comfy ENO's seemed to be. So, the first ENO hammock that was purchased in my family was a purple/blue one I bought for her on our first anniversary. (It's supposed to be the paper anniversary, so I got her a hammock she could read ALL of her favorite paper books in. Slick, right?) She absolutely loved it, and used it every chance she could get. I was completely jealous of all of the relaxation she was getting, and so I, of course, started dropping hints. She got me my very own hammock for my birthday a short four months later. Who knew hammocking could be a family activity? Every good story has a problem. Ours was the fact that the mosquito is the state bird of North Carolina. It doesn't help that our house is conveniently located next to the neighborhood swamp land. So here we are, relaxing in our hammocks with the dog lead tied to a tree, getting eaten alive by the pests. Sunburn? We can handle it. Sweltering heat? Not too bad. Constant swatting and slapping away flying parasites? Too much. I really needed an excuse to spend some more money on the AvidMax website. This is clearly a perfect excuse. So I purchased one of these Bug Nets to try it out. Let me just say two words: Life Changer. I'm telling you. The only downside to hammocking is now nonexistent! We are SO looking forward to a whole summer without worrying about mosquitos, especially since we had a particularly warm winter. I highly recommend getting one of these if you have a hammock and intend to use it outside. (That means, you, hammock owner!) My wife was so excited, she wrote a haiku, and I'll end my review with her words:

    Mosquitos suck, but
not on me. The bug net has
    saved my arms and legs.
