Overview

The Lamson Liquid Rod & Reel Outfit pairs a Liquid fly rod with Lamson's Liquid S reel in the matching size, already loaded with dacron backing, a US made weight forward floating fly line with a welded loop, and a mono leader. Everything packs into a Cordura rod case with a reel pouch and section dividers, so the outfit is ready to fish and ready to travel.

Every Liquid rod is a 9' 4-piece with a medium-fast action that Lamson calls suitable for beginners and experts alike, built with smoke finish guides, an anodized aluminum reel seat and a cork and cork composite grip. The Liquid S reel has a pressure cast aluminum frame and spool, a sealed conical drag and a large arbor. We carry two sizes: a 9' 5 wt for trout and a 9' 8 wt with a fighting butt for bass, pike and big trout. For another complete outfit, see the Airlite Aspire Combo.

Lamson Liquid Outfit FAQ

Is the Liquid Outfit ready to fish?

Yes. The Liquid S reel comes loaded with backing, a US made fly line with a welded loop and a mono leader. Add a fly and go.

Is it good for beginners?

Yes. Lamson describes the medium-fast Liquid rods as suitable for beginners and experts alike.

Which hand does the reel retrieve with?

The outfit is set up for left-hand retrieve (cast right, reel left). Lamson says the Liquid S converts to right-hand retrieve without tools.

Can I use it in salt water?

Lamson builds the Liquid rods for fresh water: trout of all sizes, plus warm water species like bass and pike. The sealed conical drag on the Liquid S helps keep water and debris out.

What is the warranty?

Lamson's lifetime warranty covers any defect in material or workmanship for the original owner of a reel or rod, for both the Liquid rod and the Liquid S reel. Lamson repairs or replaces at its discretion for a flat shipping and handling fee. It does not cover damage from misuse, improper maintenance or modification.
