Most indicators spook fish, cause line damage, make knots, don't stay in place, or take too much time to rig. The New Zealand Strike Indicator solves these problems and easily adjusts to catch that fish or meet changing conditions. It is easy to attach to your line and can quickly be removed.

Your fly will spend more time in the fish's feeding zone more often. You can size the indicator to your needs depending on the conditions. The strike indicator materials provides a highly floatable and very delicate presentation. It won't move unless you want it to.

Simply use the included line hooking tool with a ball end to pull your line into a loop through the tubing. Then insert the wool horizontally into the loop and pull the line downward, causing the wool to stand up at any height desired, ready for a strike.

  • All you need to complete your ready-to-fish setup
  • Size the wool to each unique condition by pulling it through the tubing
  • Comes with white and lime green wool
  • Delicated presentation won't scare off your fish
  • Includes: replacement tubing, 2 wool options, line hooking tool with ball end

    Great functionality

Easy to use. Above all it holds, is easy to adjust the depth, doesn't kink the line and come of easily.

You do have carry the tool, yarn/wook and plastic tubing (note you can precut it and store several days worth on the tool).

Most effective strike indicator that I have used yet

Ordered to use on a trip to the Snake River. First experience with a indicator and it was great even with my eyes!

    The BEST Strike Indicator!

Posted by John on Mar 3rd 2016

I use indicators in rivers for trout, in stillwaters for trout, and in rivers for steelhead. I own, and have used, every type of indicator there is. My recent favorite has been the Airlock plastic bubble, which is a greatly improved Thingamabobber. But it is still plastic, and it is relatively heavy, even in the 1/2" size. I just bought the New Zealand Strike Indicator after seeing a demo. This is simply an incredible solution. You can use a miniscule amount of the NZ wool (the size of your fly)and it floats like crazy. I mixed the white and green colors it came with, and I could see it in any light. When you are done you just remove the wool and save it, and remove the plastic sleeve and put it back on the tool. The amount it comes with will last years. It weighs nothing, and because you can use so little of it, it has essentially no impact on casting. I'm even going to try it for long-leader Stillwater chironomid fishing, as I think it will wind right through the guides. That way I can stop using quick release foam indicators that kink the leader. Awesome product!
