Overview

The Umpqua Perminator, short for Permit Terminator, is a signature crab pattern from Umpqua tyer Lex Hochner, built to fool permit on the flats. Its realistic crab profile, lively rubber legs, and weighted eyes help it drop quickly and settle naturally on the bottom, right where tailing fish expect to find a fleeing crab.

A weed guard helps it fish cleanly over turtle grass, coral, and rubble, and the soft materials keep it moving even at rest. Although it was designed for permit, the Perminator is a great crab that will work for lots of species beyond permit, including bonefish, redfish, and other crab-eating fish.
