Overview

The Renzetti Apprentice is Renzetti's entry-level rotary vise, and a great first vise. Its rotary head has a tension screw so you can turn the fly to check it from any side, and a hinged stem sets the angle. Anodized aluminum with hardened steel jaws, it holds hooks from #28 to #2, which covers most trout, panfish and bass flies.

This version comes on a pedestal base that sits on any table, so you do not need an edge to clamp to.

Which Renzetti is right for you? The Apprentice is Renzetti's entry-level rotary vise for hooks #28 to #2. The Traveler is the classic true rotary vise most tyers keep for life, and the 2000 is the lowest-priced version. The Saltwater Traveler is built from corrosion-resistant materials for big saltwater and streamer hooks. The Presentation is the step up for serious tyers, and the Master does it all, from #28 to 10/0. A C-clamp grips the edge of a table and lets you set the height; a pedestal base sits on any table.
