    I Like Pretty Much Every Thing About It!

    I got this rod holder a few days ago and took it out on a fly fishing trip to the metolius river today and absolutely love this thing. I like pretty much every thing about it. I just added this and a thule x-force roof box to my roof rack and between the both of them, I didn’t hear any increased noise on the highway, even going 70 mph. Very quiet. And since this will be affixed to my roof for years to come, that is very important.

    Every fisherman I came across today wherever I had parked talked to me about how cool this rod holder is- every single one. I am sure this product is going to become very popular in places where there are a lot of fly fisherman. I was a little concerned about the look of having a 10 foot pole on my car but I actually really like it. I use my car to fish all the time and now I don’t have to worry about getting them in and out of my car, breaking them, or just having them in the way. And now when I take a trip over the cascades to see the family, I can have my rods up on the roof ready to go in case I decide to stop for 15 minutes on the santiam river, as opposed to driving on by because my gear isn’t in my car.

    It is built like a tank and I love that it locks. Putting it together was pretty easy, though I wish they would have included some of the hardware you need to put it together. I was a little bummed I had to run to Ace to get an extension for my nut driver in order to screw this to my roof rack, but that is literally my biggest gripe, which basically means I love everything about this rack.

    Overall, if you are thinking of getting a rack for your fly rods just go ahead and get this. It is worth every penny. You will love it and wherever you go, other fly fisherman are going to be wishing they had one too.

    Good rod rack, better price!

    I ordered this without knowing much about it, but I’m totallly glad I did. I think this is a good alternative to the Denver Outfitters version, which I’ve heard have a lot of quality issues and bad customer service. I really like that the River Quiver comes in a 2 and 4 version. I do wish there was some built in padding in the tube portion, but it’s not a dealbreaker.
