Overview

Doctor's Sweetmeat Sally is a slim, quick-sinking jig nymph that suggests a Yellow Sally stonefly nymph drifting near the bottom. A gold tungsten bead gets it down fast in riffles and pocket water, and the jig hook rides point-up so it snags less as it ticks along the rocks.

A tan thread body ribbed with gold wire gives it segmentation and a little flash, a buggy dubbed collar and soft fibers add movement, and barred rubber legs kick in the current. Fish it on a euro-nymphing rig or under an indicator, alone or as the point fly. Size 16.
