Overview

Built for drag-free drifts and natural presentations, the TroutHunter EVO Drift Leader (9 Foot, No Loop) is a knotless tapered leader made for selective trout in clear, technical water. TroutHunter applies its EVO coating to the leader material, which delivers much stronger knot strength with no noticeable increase in diameter.

The EVO coating also adds abrasion resistance, repels water for improved flotation, and leaves the leader with almost no memory, so it lays out straight and lets your fly drift naturally. The tapered design, with a butt section that makes up roughly 43% of the 9-foot length, provides strong turnover for dry flies, emergers, and lightly weighted nymphs.

This is the no-loop version: the butt end is plain, with no pre-tied loop, so you attach it to your fly line with your own connection (nail knot, or tie your own perfection loop for a loop-to-loop setup). TroutHunter also makes this leader with a pre-tied loop, sold separately as the Trouthunter Evo Drift Leaders 9 ft With Loop.

Offered here in 3X and 5X, the EVO Drift Leader is a dependable choice for spring creeks, tailwaters, and any water where a natural drift makes the difference.
