Overview
The Rove is Abel's go-anywhere reel, built for the traveling angler: tough, high capacity and easy to look after. A caged frame keeps line from slipping between the frame and spool, the large arbor picks up line quickly, and Abel's proven cork drag is field serviceable. The spool changes quickly, and the back of the drag plate is laser engraved with fresh and saltwater flies.
The 7/9 is the middle of the Rove range, with room for a WF8 and 185 yards of 30 lb backing. This reel has a ported gloss black frame, a black drag knob and an ebony handle. Made in the USA.
