Overview
The SDX is Abel's big-game reel, with the largest arbor and fastest line pickup Abel has ever built: 15.5" to 17.5" of line per turn. It is made for fish that run hard and far, including tarpon, permit, giant trevally, steelhead, salmon and bluewater species.
The drag is a sealed stack of alternating carbon and stainless-steel discs, so salt and grit stay out. The solid frame gives the SDX a clean, closed look. This reel is all black, with a gloss black frame, spool and drag knob and a black handle. Machined in Montrose, Colorado.
