Description

Overview

The Vaya is Abel's lightweight trout reel. The partially ported frame balances weight, sound and looks, and each size carries its own set of CNC-milled fly patterns. Inside is a five-disc drag of alternating carbon and stainless steel, with a balanced dual-pawl engagement that needs no counterweight. The large arbor picks up line faster and keeps it from coiling.

At 5.15 oz, the 4/5 is the lightest Vaya and suits small to mid-size trout water. This reel is gloss black with a black drag knob and an ebony handle. Made in the USA.
