Abel SDS Ported Fly Reel 7/8 Flats Fade Finish and Drag Knob with Large Aluminum Platinum Handle

Overview

The SDS (Sealed Drag Saltwater) is Abel's saltwater reel, and the 7/8 is the size for bonefish, redfish, permit, small tarpon and stripers, as well as big trout and steelhead water. The drag is a sealed stack of carbon composite and stainless-steel discs with more than 20 pounds of stopping power, so sand and salt stay out of it.

This build is finished in Abel's Flats Fade, a hand-anodized fade that runs from deep blue at the top through seafoam green to sand at the bottom, with a matching Flats Fade drag knob and a platinum aluminum handle. The frame and spool are ported. Retrieve direction can be switched by the user. Machined in Montrose, Colorado.
