The Echo Gecko Trout Fly Fishing Outfit puts a complete kids' fly fishing setup in one box. Echo pairs the 7'9" 5 wt Gecko Trout rod with an Echo reel, then adds backing, fly line and a leader, and the outfit comes strung up and primed for the water, so a young angler can start fishing instead of rigging.

The Gecko is Echo's rod for little guys and gals, with a modest, forgiving action and kid-friendly cosmetics: a yellow blank and camo-pattern foam grips. A small lower grip below the reel seat lets a child cast with one hand or two. Rod and reel travel together in a zippered Echo rod and reel case.

The rod is covered by Echo's lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects for the original owner, when bought from an authorized dealer; breaks in normal fishing use are repaired or replaced for a service fee that varies by model, waived if the cause is a defect. The Echo reel carries Echo's one-year warranty for the original owner.
